Hmm instances is a bit too general for me. I really love 3 mans but I’m not quite fond of anything bigger, so I voted skirmishes heh.
Generally I like stuff where you can chose your own party size.
I was enjoing lotro as a mainly solo experience, when I happened upon /GLFF when i got to Moria about the time RoR launched. It transformed the game for me, it was always cool to be in M.E. and enjoy the stories but suddenly I was attacking a huge turtle, the Watcher in the Water. I remember being so nervous before my first raid then. There was such an active pick up group culture back then , even on little Elendilmir. It really got me hooked on the game.
Sadly most of that is gone now and bar a month or two of First age action is Ost Dunhoth recently, I can’t remember the last group I enjoyed that way. Real shame in my eyes. So I still enjoy the solo experience, but I only dabble. I cannot bring myself to do the BB grind on another character, Hopefully I have enough stars of merit to just buy them the Shiny stuff.
I want to be hopeful that these new instances with U16 will bring back the pick up group culture, but it remains to be seen.

Only recently started to get into instances, quite enjoyed a few skirmishes as well.
Yeah, I voted Instances, but was looking for raids. And I also love all the Epic story instances for groups so I was torn as which to pick.
