New Player Question
Responses to last week’s question:
From Louni/Fin:
Hi all,
In response to the last podcast’s player question.
Yes, I lock my bars! Because there have been too many times in the early days of losing skills when playing. I am a clicker, and in the heat of battle skills can get dragged off bars if not locked. I have gone into keyboard settings and link the lock skill bars to my “Del/.” key on my number keypad. It makes it very easy to lock/unlock when I need to do so.
As far as UI changes, yes on that too. I move lots of things around, but the biggest change is on my healing classes. I make bar 4 vertical and move it along the right side of the player characters that I am in a group with, and if in a raid it would be in-between the two groups if that makes sense. But since I am a clicker I can click a player that needs heals and then click the heals with minimal amount of moving the mouse. Other than that the changes I make are more about resizing thing so the screen is less cluttered.
Thanks again for keeping this show going,
Louni/Fin
The questions for this week:
- Is there a way to check how much time you’ve spent in-game? Is it per character if you use the in-game command to check?
- Can you see when a character was created? If so, how?
Week In LOTRO
Crister
- I
- Hate
- Mariners
Cyndars
- Rolled a new guardian to start a new adventure through Middle-earth with LPN friends.
- Remembered to water my garden plants and feed my sourdough starter for my newish hare-brained adventure.
- Ran a round of the Palace with PLOI folks before the servers went down.
Sanswinda
- Rolled a new Rune Keeper to start adventuring through Mossward and helped feed some hungry guards.
- Drank from an Anniversary Keg in preparation for the start of the anniversary and ended up at the crossroads again, which seems to be the most frequent location for this character to hit. It is much less intimidating at level 150 than it was before I used the Valar…
- Did some inventory management on Sanswinda. The permanent fireworks turning into baubles was super helpful.
Pineleaf
- My warden started adventuring in the newly-released area.
- I ran the four new anniversary missions.
- The Field Trip’s Merry Crew headed into Northern Mirkwood.
- For Friday Night FIghts, we ran the Wraith of Fire, Caras Gelebren, and Thangulhad.
