Valé Eldar

Two trees in Valinor

The Song

This parody of Mortals by Warriyo (original with Laura Brehm) envisages as its scene one of the Noldor recalling Elvenhome in Valinor while hiding on the Isle of Balar at the end of the First Age: the armies of Melkor have overrun Middle Earth driving all resistance before them, Gondolin has been overthrown, Menegroth and Nargorthrond have been sacked, and all surviving Eldar have retreated to this final refuge on Middle Earth protected from imminent destruction only by the dividing sea.

Recording

The song structure is very simple – a single verse structure in the middle of an otherwise instrumental composition. The beautiful, haunting tune inspires lyrics of a reflective, even speculative nature.
