Today marks three years of LOTRO Players. On June 1st 2013 we started LOTRO Players with the goal of housing a large variety of LOTRO content under one easy to find roof. The decision to create the site formed after some of the authors of CSTM were informed the site would not continue the way it had for so many years.
LOTRO Players started with a small team of dedicated people that included: Andang, Branick, Pineleaf, Ethelros, Spridra and Mysteri. Since then we have grown to include over 40 writers on our team.
There were only two shows at the start: LOTRO Academy and Fellowship of the Creeps. By the end of the first month, it became clear that we needed a news show and so LOTRO Players News was formed. Over time, we continued to get shows and after three years we have had 13 shows on LOTRO Players.
Now that the history lesson is over, I would just like to say thank you. Thank you to all 500,000 of you who have visited the site over the last three years. Thank you to the hundreds of thousands of podcast listeners we have across our various shows. Thank you to everyone who donated time to the site and shows or helped in any way with anything on LOTRO Players. Thank you to everyone who helped us grow into The Players Alliance. Thank you to Turbine for providing such a great game for us to talk and write about.

Three Years is far too short a time to have spent in the company of such excellent Players. I know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve..Even Karv! 😁 It’s getting harder to remember a time before all of your hard work created this focal point for the best gaming community I have ever been exposed to! An excellent 3 years. I was so glad there was another lotro site when cstm died a while back. Thanks lotro for all the news, laughs and entertainment you have delivered throughout the years. It has truly been a great 3 years. And thank you also for allowing for my fan fiction series to go public. All of the support means more than you know. Thanks for the years of lotro coverage!
