In his weekly stream this afternoon, QuartermasterU confirmed that Update 17: The Siege of Minas Tirith will be going live tomorrow, October 27, 2015. Shortly afterward, a tweet was posted on twitter by @LOTRO that the servers would be down from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the update.

hurrah! To Minas Tirith \o/
Does anybody else feel like this was pushed out really quickly? I mean I’m really excited and all but there’s usually a healthy wait time between the announcement and release.
Yes. Very buggy. Not happy about that. Would be even less happy if I wasn’t VIP, I think, and had to buy or grind the TP for it.
Minas Tirith looks awesome. But the quests are awful (in ethylros voice). Back and forth, back and forth, ten times for one quest. Don’t get me started on the Merry Swan quest line. I want to hit those drunks with their mugs. And how about the “boys life” quests. More back and forth. Not very heroic, fetch this and bring it back, then fetch something else. What’s the MT quest completion title “Porter of Minas Tirith”?
