This was a great listen, I enjoyed it very much. I have to say my favourite adaptation is the BBC Radio Drama over 13 Episodes. I love LOTRO – but fell in love with this version first. I remember waiting by the radio for episodes each week.
I was really impressed by Peter Jackson’s work, for me however LOTR films changed the character’s personalities too much. The Hobbit ended up being more of a farce – I would have loved to have seen a purist film adaptation of the book to screen. The extra bits could have been made into a telling of a new and different story.
