This week’s featured events:
Die Bunten Vögel starts their “Rabenschwarz” – On The Road 2016 concert series with a show on Sirannon this Friday at 2pm EDT/20:00 CEST/22:00 MSK. Their guests will be local favorites Les Chantefables. At the end of each show there will be a lottery for a Rabenschwarz CD, but if you don’t win, never fear: the CD is available for purchase. The full schedule (including their list of great guest bands) is pictured below.
Our next two featured events have been previously hyped in this space but are well worth another plug. First is Courtley Ayres, a Spring Formal Masquerade Ball presented by Forte’s Academy of Music on Landroval this Saturday. Elizabethan style music will be provided by Academy students and Old Winyards. Come dressed in your finest for a night of splendor, enchantment, and the chance to be crowned king or queen. The first music set is 4pm-5pm followed by the selection and crowning of the ball royalty. Another musical performance starts at 5:30.
The fourth Shire May Queen will be selected on Laurelin on Sunday, May 1st at 2:30pm EDT (server)/19:30 BST. This year’s competitors are Dassa, Pycella, and Smertellaa. The people of the Shire will vote on this year’s winner by sending mail via Quick Post to Nannie and results will be announced at the party under the Shire stars. Come to the Party Tree Square of the Oldfurlong neighborhood of the Shire homesteads to find out who will win this coveted title.

Lina’s biscuity burrow always offers something good to chew on, whether it’s the blog, the plugins (yes, you should must download Songbook: The Badger Chapter and Poetical, improvements on two already great plugins), or the video archives. Last week, Lina wrote a post about the sometimes difficult relationship between the burgeoning music scene and established RP events, particularly Green Dragon Fridays.
