LOTRO Outfits: Scout of Western Gondor

This week I actually made two outfits and there’s a few reasons. Most importantly, Update 14 came out and introduced some new Gondor and Dol Amroth themed cosmetics. But also I was having some severe internet problems earlier in the week which meant my video posting schedule was way out of whack. So to celebrate U14/make up for my video scheduling, this is the Scout of Western Gondor outfit! Originally I wanted the outfit to be all black but I also really wanted to use the Cloudmantle cloak, which unfortunately doesn’t dye. I then tried seeing how the outfit looked all white and it looked really good. The only problem is that when you dye the shoulders white the White Tree of Gondor brooch gets washed out and you can hardly see it. The main point of the outfit was to really accentuate those Tree motifs, so I compromised by making the hood/cloak white and the rest of the outfit black. I think it works anyway since they are the main colors of Gondor.

I definitely plan on doing more Gondor themed outfits as I get more armour in Gondor.

  1. Awesome set. I really wish I kept that top from Dunland. To tell you the truth, I thought the whole Dunland set belonged in Gondor. Dunland should have been more tribal looking, not the sets we got. Regardless, I love them. They are my favorite sets.
