More layoffs at Turbine *Updated*

Massively is reporting that Turbine has gone through another round of layoff’s .

A Warner Bros. representative responded with an official statement:

“As part of our normal business process, we’re routinely looking at the strategic alignment of our company. Unfortunately, in order for us to invest in growth areas at Turbine, we have to eliminate some positions. These are always tough decisions, which we don’t approach lightly, but it’s crucial that Turbine is structured in a way that reflects the current and coming marketplace.”

No word on how many employes are what job capacity they were in.

UPDATE- @amlugdev looks to be one of those that were affected by the job cuts

Also looks like Hannah Foell was another

Good luck to all of those were affected, and hope that you find a new job soon.

  1. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this site but it’s food for thought:

Sorry for those who lost their jobs today.

    • I indeed saw that Layoff site, but was not too sure about including anything from it, as am I not sure on credibility of the site. Interesting food for thought indeed!

  2. Always sad to see layoffs like this occur. Alas, it’s business.

It looks like Hannah Foell was also let go –

  3. Meramir /

RockX is gone, and it seems Verizal, Vastin and ScaryCrow has been let go as well along with a lot of QA.
XRaina ‘s profile is gone on the forum, but I’m not sure if she’s been let go.
