Although it’s in partial ruin, the main entrance to Angmar is very formidable and intimidating. Only the bravest or most foolish dare to walk through.

Well it goes without saying that I am neither brave nor foolish, as I try to steer clear of Angmar at all times. Yeah not my favourite place. 🙂

I have to agree with Myst….Not to keen on wandering into Angmar…(Shudder)
I remember being so terrified of entering Angmar because of the entire feel of the zone. I was under leveled, there were drakes, and the scary music made it be hard to go there…luckily that was far from the truth once I made it to level 52 and could go where I pleased in the zone.
Yeh, I had a very similar experience, with the drakes. Essentially, I was a little underleveled + approached the gates to Angmar right as there was an elite signature patrolling the area.
Needless to say, I hightailed it back to the safety of Esteldin. It’s a good thing Bree and other towns are much more craft-friendly nowadays, to lessen the burden that Esteldin used to provide as the lower-level crafting haven (the enemies outside the “hidden” gates were starting to get suspicious…).
There is an entrance to Angmar that is completely harmless. All it takes is the luck (or ability to read a map) to find it.
