This week’s featured events:
Elevenses began on Crickhollow the day that the server opened, filling up Michel Delving’s Bird & Baby Inn with light hobbity RP and plenty of music. More than five years later it is still being served twice a week, on Sundays at 11am and Mondays at 11pm (both EST/server time). 2012 saw the addition of a third weekly event, Bread & Jam Sessions at the Prancing Pony every Friday evening at 9pm. It swiftly became the most popular event on the server, and packed crowds often stick around well past midnight for songs and storytelling.
Ales and Tales was founded on the Landroval server six and a half years ago. The gathering starts at a different location every Monday night at 9:30pm. The locations range from houses (such as the kinhouse that hosts Ales & Tales on the 11th, the Oak & Barrel) to places around the starter zones to the exotic locales that host the monthly “extreme” version. Old Winyards is the house band, but others may perform songs, stories, and other entertainment by contacting the stage manager. Nibbles and Nobs is the open stage event that takes place one hour prior to the beginning of Ales and Tales. To get information on this event, join the custom channel by typing “/joinchannel alesandtales” in game.
All events are listed in Eastern Standard Time (-5 GMT)/server time, but an additional time zone is listed for EU server events. You may add events or post corrections in the comments section, but the fastest and best way to get it on this page is to submit a form. The Long Journey 2016

Conventional wisdom has it that January is named after Janus, the two-faced Roman diety of beginnings and passageways. This week we’ll look back at some events from the first few months of 2015 that we expect to see again in 2016.
January: Winterstock II featured 32 bands from 11 servers. The cold climate version of Weatherstock gets bigger every year, and this time around it’s grown to an amazing 41 bands. Head out to Thorin’s Gate on Landroval January 15th-18th for this year’s edition. Under the Sunlit Sky has taken part every year, and here’s their version of “Hit the Road Jack” from 2015.

March: The Shire Inns always need a year to recover after the Bullroarer Took Day Pub Crawl. Crickhollow will host the 6th annual event this year, starting as always at the Bird and Baby in Michel Delving. The group then circles around to all of the other Shire pubs, offering a song in exchange for ales at each one, ending with the big party at the Green Dragon in Bywater. The 2016 date has not yet been released, but the hobbits of Second Breakfast have assured us that they will not let the drunkards down.
April: Landroval’s Windy Acres Ranch features incredible events year round, but none are as hotly anticipated as the Spring Racing Carnival. In 2015 four qualifier races led up to the Eriador Championship Cup. The day of the Championship Cup offered entertainment like barrel racing, formation riding, mounted fashion competition, and rodeo clowns. We hope to see this year’s event sometime in April or May, and details will be announced here once we have them.
