This week’s featured event:
Thursday’s Bird & Baby Yard Party will be a little greener than usual as they take the opportunity to celebrate Bullroarer Took Day (a holiday with striking similarities to St. Patrick’s Day), March 17th at 3:30pm EST/7:30pm GMT on Laurelin. The Bramblebury Gazette has put out a call for poets who would like to share their verse and music honouring the hero of the Battle of the Greenfields. The Party will head from its usual spot out to Brockenborings. The program includes a toast to Bullroarer, traditional music from the Greenbrambles, poetry, a re-enactment of the Battle of the Greenfields, and a performance from the Little Wanderers. The stage is then open to any who wish to perform.
Daylight Savings Time takes effect in most of the US on Sunday, but Europe will not switch their clocks for another two weeks (please note that the original version of this post did not include the proper time correction). After Sunday, all events are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (-4 GMT)/server time, but an additional time zone is listed for EU server events. You may add events or post corrections in the comments section, but the fastest and best way to get it on this page is to submit a form. There will be a special post about next weekend’s Day on the Greenfields Music Festival and Bullroarer Took Day Pub Crawl on Thursday, so today I’d like to look at three other events that will be coming this Spring. On April 20th Muddy Foot Day returns to Crickhollow. Come to the Party Tree for a night of entertainment and the best music the Shire can provide. The Spring Racing Carnival returns to Landroval on May 14th. The top three from each of the qualifying races will face off for the Eriador Championship Cup. Entertainment includes a rodeo clown show, barrel racing, formation riding, and music from Notenzauber, The Remediators, and other fine bands. Shirefest moves to June this year–look for much more information soon on Crickhollow’s biggest annual event.
