Week In Gaming
Celebathien
- We took our Friday group to Michel Delving to see Wenda while waiting for Sans, and tried to crash the town with fireworks (pig and otherwise). Weatherstock, we are not. Fail. Pine fled (will that be another character name in the future?).
- Celebrated a b-day on Grrlz. Khel wore a present, a cake hat, and rode a hobby horse as we went through Year 1 scavenger hunt stuff. There might’ve been yodelling as I sailed like Pegasus off cliffs while on a warhorse, but those rumors will remain unconfirmed.
- Tuesday night gaming found us in Wildwood still, where moosen vengeance for the Grrlz group continued to be found.
- Made a female Sith warrior so I can snag a romantic interest not available to my male Sith, despite my shipping of them. <3
- I was Spartacus for Civ VI. So was everyone else. Only it wasn’t Spartacus. Or even Sparta.
Sanswinda
- Killed *that* warg again with the Grrlz. It was very satisfying to look at it and have it keel over.
- Explored more of the nice parts of the Wildwood.
- Did some undaunted questing with Luinori and Gwaerendes in ESO. We even took out a very crabby world boss.
- Joined Trajans 1-5 in taking over the world for the real Rome!
Teriadwyn
- Teri joined the Grrlz for shenaniganry, the only one not wearing a present costume. She did change out of her adventuring black to give Cyndars a proper tour of Dol Amroth.
- Tried not leading the group on Tuesday, and somehow wound up in front of everyone again anyway…
- SWTOR Sith slaughtered their way through Balmorra and started Nar Shaddaa. Also made a new female sniper who is almost finished on Dromund Kaas.
- ESO baby warden poked around Stonefalls some more, mostly getting lost trying not to get lost.
- Not gaming, but: MOVIES ARE BACK!! Family went to see Wrath of Man in theater this afternoon, very enjoyable cinema experience.
Pineleaf
- My Anor warden completed the pre-Pellenor quest lines
- During the field trip, we helped some hobbits at North Cotton Farm
- My ESO main character reached level 46 and finished the Western Skyrim storyline.

Hey!
(Irrelevant Intro)
I’m a regular listener to DDO Players but recently there was that extended downtime on DDO for Update 49 so I decided to update Lotro that evening and see what was what. Haven’t been active in Lotro for around 6 years but, I’m back now. Of course the first thing I did was start listening to Lotro Players from Episode 1 and try to catch up.
(semi-relevant)
Way back in episode 97 there was a discussion about the Dawnless Day. Throughout the episode there was a joke about how it wasn’t really just one day more, the Dawnless Five Days but that’s not as nice to say.
Here’s my “well actually” on the Dawnless Day and why no matter how many hours it lasted it was, for the people of Gondor and Rohan, just one day and it is perfectly apt to refer to it as such. Until the light returns, it has always been just the one day. The inhabitants of that region woke as they naturally would expecting to be greeted by the Dawn but it never came and would not come for some time still. In Mathematics and Physics we worry about the accuracy of Days and Hours. For the people of Middle-Earth in terror for not only their lives but the life of their entire generational line, the very existence of themselves as a people, horological accuracy takes a backseat to poetry.
Something I think we can all relate to considering the decade we all lived through in the single year of 2020.
