LOTRO Players News Episode 384: Punching Drakes in the Face

(In this chapter we finally meet Saeradan and discover he has an odd sense of humor. Also, we learn that Morchandir is a chatty blackout drunk. The chapter includes some more mention of crafting, Saeradan’s hobbit companion, and the in-story explanation of stable horses.)

Week In LOTRO

Aerindys

Created a hobbit guardian because our talk last week of hobbit champs made me want one and a guardian was the closest thing I could do.
My internet went out for 3 or 4 days so I couldn’t do much this week – thanks Celebathien! 😀
Took my level 120 Valar’d high elf champ into Gondor/Minas Tirith/Dol Amroth for fun and a specific cosmetic piece that was part of the Epic Story. Since I was 20 levels over the mobs in the area, it was a lot of fun to one-shot everything.

Celebathien

Khelevorn and Galebrilith tried to warn a Thane his whole town was in danger of eradication, but noooo….. And then they rode horses that the Rohirrim didn’t mock, at last.
Arkenstone Celebathien hammered some giants’ toes in the Misties with the Academy after the group “sneaked” into Gabilizan with Gimli to face down Skorgrim. If we could’ve just hit the dang spirit, none of these problems would happen later (like with a gigantic dragon).

Gwaerendes

The Hobbit hunter is done with the Epic in Mirkwood. There was fishslapping and dancing involved. Also, we gathered up Rangers, were *very* thorough in exploring, and the mini-companion discovered something about a horseshoe that wasn’t known before.
Gwaerendes is now Fabarál, and got the Elderslade Battle-goat. Also, she and the Captain completed the metadeed (so many trolls for the slayer deed…) and got warsteed cosmetics.
Sanswinda and Gwaer did some crawling around in and under the Towers of the Teeth.

Sanswinda

Started filling my inventory with pages of a Crystal Journal. This caused some inventory management issues, but it has been a fun read.
Bakklava and crew saved Dori and helped the dwarves around Othrikar.
Did some more Inn and Ale League runs for starlit crystals.

Teriadwyn

Teri and friends did some more story stuff in the new area, and speculation abounds as to the northern part of the Elderslade.
Galebrilith has a war-steed! Sorry not sorry, Sans. Also, some crafting was done.
Many, many more missions. We really need to talk about missions… and why ovens and forges are not warm places to hang out…

Pineleaf

My main warden investigated the history of Scatha.
My Anor warden finished the last of the quests in Fangorn (except for dailies, of course).
For Friday Night Fights, we ran The Stair Battle and Breaching the Necromancer’s Gate.
