Quick intro to Missions

Based on Bullroarer build 1

What is a mission?

A short repeatable instance (available for levels 20-130) in the new mini-expansion War of the three peaks.

How to get to Mission control

Visit any of the several dwarf recruiters across hubs in Middle-earth to travel to a hall in the new area.

What to do in Mission Control?

You land on the top floor if by stablemaster or at the bottom floor if you enter through the landscape entrance. Cosmetic barter on the left, other reputation barter on the right.

March on Gundabad questline

Talk to Gloin for a quest to start of The main gate. I assume this is the first in a long questline that takes you through all or more missions. You can start any of the 80 from the start.

What to do in a mission?

Each mission has a standard variety in what they ask you to do. Collect X, kill mobs, find the leader and one including ridiculing golbins with emotes.

• All tested involved some form of combat.
• Difficulty is near-existant due to mob morale (reported)
  • Swarm mobs had 80k morale
  • Standard mobs had 90k morale
  • Signatures and leaders had 220-400k morale
• Instanced versions of enemy controlled points across Skarhald and new region

Level 20-130 xp

Above difficulty was about the same on a level 38 minstrel i’ve done 2 missions on. The missions gave about the same rewards as below. For xp the missions are about equal as a short skirmish.

Each mission gives the same xp and reputation. Lower levels however dont get the level 130 quest tokens.

Rewards for the missions

You get level apprioate xp, 500 Gabil’Akka reputation (no use for at non-130) and 2 Copper coins of Gundbadad (at 130). With the copper coins you can barter Runes, travel skills, pets, shields and recipes.

With said recipes you can craft Elderslade supply pack which in turn you can exchange for Gold Pocket item.

Quick thought on Bullroarer patch 1

Nice system, quick xp alternative to questing or skirmishing. Limited rewards at the moment at 130. And no rewards at lower level gear wise.

Main quest chain and several missions are bugged atm.
