This week’s featured events:
Major events and special concerts are taking place all around LOTRO this weekend. Horrorfest 3 takes place today and tomorrow on Landroval at Da Bugans Kinhouse, 2 Chalk Road in the Stooping neighborhood of the Shire Homesteads. The event will be livestreamed on MaestroTV. There will also be bride sacrifices from the bands and audience members to determine the bride of Buganstein and finally decide: can music create love?
A year ago Sirannon celebrated the arrival of players from the Estel server with a grand party. A year later there’s still plenty of reasons to celebrate together! It begins today at the Methel Stage in Bywater at 8pm CEST/2pm EDT (server time) and continues tomorrow at 4pm CEST/10am EDT. Performers include Les Hobbities, Two Steps to Mordor, Kapatek Anahuac, Acouphènesvers, Savoureuses Mélodies, and Daft Pigs. There will be many other activities, including hobbit parkour, musical quizzes, speed dating, dancing, and fireworks. All details may be seen (in French) at Jeux On Line.
Crickhollow’s Haunted Hill concert starts following Elevenses at the Party Tree on Sunday at 12:30pm. Musicians include Breakfast Club, Dulcet Tones, and several other popular Crickhollow bands. Crickhollow will also host the Purple Pipeweed Parlor Band’s Creepy Time in the Park at the Bree Park on Saturday at 8pm. And come to Laurelin on Sunday at 19:30pm GMT/3:30pm EDT for the White Flames Band Hallowe’en Concert at the entrance to the Haunted Hill at the Party Tree. Please note the four-hour time difference between the UK and US because daylight saving time will have ended in Europe but not America.

Gather at the Bree South Gate on Laurelin at 4pm EDT/8pm GMT for a procession to Weathertop for the telling of “The Tale of the Bree Rat“, otherwise known as “Fawkes! The Undoing of Gubzugoy the Unready.” A fireworks display will be unleashed at the end of the tale and all are welcome to set off their own supply.
Forte’s Academy of Music returns to Landroval in November. The Academy of Music will walk you through how to download music, get it ready to play in-game, how to create your own music from MIDI files, how to create and start adding to your own music collection with your very own transcribed music. This is a semester of 7 lessons over a course of 3 sessions with student graduations and concert on the final Saturday of the month. The first class will take place on November 5th at 4pm on the back stage of the Prancing Pony.
The Department of Harmony and Song will start their server tour with Crickhollow on Sunday, November 6th. They will perform after Elevenses at the Bree Festival Stage at 1pm. Check back here for future tour dates!
