It began as one of those funny, fake ads that Karvett likes to include in LOTRO Players News. Pineleaf Countdown. A “hobbit-sized timer” to “keep you on pace for whatever you need.” Almost immediately after the ad aired, Andang mentioned that someone should make it a real app and I was stupid enough to comment in the live chat that it would be an easy app to make.
Suddenly committed to actually making Pineleaf Countdown a reality, I decided to do more than just make a simple timer app (the app I’d had in mind when saying how easy it would be to make). Over the past few months I’ve put a lot of thought and effort into making Pineleaf Countdown.
Today I’m happy to announce that the app is available to the public! So, if you’ve always wanted to have your very own Pineleaf to keep you on task, now you can! For more information, head over to the official Pineleaf Countdown page.
Yay! I cannot wait! Hmm.. So is that what pineleaf looks like in real life?
The sprite is based on the Pineleaf character in LOTRO, a female hobbit Warden. I tried to include as much detail as I could. I’m afraid you’ll have to ask Pineleaf himself if it looks anything like him in real life.
