The Gala Du Lierre Touffu takes place every Tuesday at 3pm EDT/21:00 CEST on the Sirannon server. Hobbiton’s Ivy Bush Inn fills with song, jokes, stories, and a bit of RP while the ale flows freely. All races are welcome, but the organizers request the all weapons and pets are left at the door.
Coursera brings back “Online Games: Literature, New Media and Narrative” on June 13th. This Vanderbilt University course is a multimedia tour of how literature, film and games engage in the basic human activity of storytelling. Throughout the course, students will be given the opportunity to experience Tolkien’s world first-hand by playing LOTRO on the Gladden server. The Festival of the White Lady will come to Landroval on Saturday, June 18th at 7pm EDT/server time. They will be celebrating nine Riders, nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring, nine years of LOTRO, and nine years of Knights of the White Lady. Bring along your vial of Love Potion #9 and come along as they march through Bree-town. They will celebrate with music, fireworks, dancing, food and drink, and suffer through their leader’s speeches. The after-party featuring The Remediators and Heartwood will be at the KWL kin house in the Highdore housing neighborhood, Bree-land, Landroval.
The lineup was just announced for the 3rd annual Shirefest on Crickhollow. Visit the Crickhollow Music website to see the full schedule and profiles on the performers. Shirefest will be held from June 24th-26th at the pillars south of Scary. 28 bands will perform during the festival, but everyone is welcome to share a song or a story of their own at Bread & Jam, moving to the Scary town square for the night of Friday, June 24th at 9pm EDT/server, and Sunday Elevenses at 11am on the 26th. Sunday Elevenses will move to the Plough and Stars in Brockenborings, but Monday night Elevenses on June 27th will be at its regular location in the Bird & Baby.
Festival Time:
The Spring festival runs through June 21st. Look like Bingo Boffin by grabbing the new Sightseer’s set, ride the new Steed of Ethuil, and take advantage of the new dye colours. Shire-plum and Bullroarer Green are available for tokens while lavender and deep (or is it dark?) purple can be purchased with mithril coins. The mithril gated dyes will be available for tokens next year while the other two dyes will only be available in exchange for mithril.
