Yesterday, Turbine announced the end of phone support for LOTRO.
“On Monday, June 6th we will be expanding our online and in-game support services as part of our efforts to provide speedier and higher quality responses to help requests. As a result, phone support will no longer be available for Lord of the Rings Online.” – source
It sounds like there will still be a similar amount of support for LOTRO, it is just moving to be completely online.
In my opinion, LOTRO had one of the best phone support services in gaming and helped me several times. I personally would prefer vocally talking to a human to fix specific problems but I can understand the move, especially if there were not as many people calling in anymore and were instead using the online support.
Bad move….. Money related?
