Emails
Trotter writes:
“Andang
Might want to mention this on Lotro Players News, but if you want to start the Epic in Far Anorien, you need to speak to Mithrandir in Minas Tirith to start it.
Did not realise this for a while and had to go back and pick up the Epic, not very well signposted by Turbine.
Regards
Trotter”
In a second email, Trotter writes:
“Another thought about U18 that you may want to discuss, if you are level 105 and you do Drac’s favourite part of the game, Epic Battles, are you are now downscaled to level 100, and how does that work?
Best Regards
Trotter”

Trotter here, I have tried an Epic Battle at 105 and am I downscaled to 100, not happy about this 🙁
Karvett, if you are on Landroval. Send me an email and I’ll get you some gear to make you non-squishy. Guards have to stay together.
Regarding the Beacon Hills, there are a couple of quests that will send you there, from the Rohirrim War Steading – one links you to the new hub of Ost Rimmon, to find a missing rider, to prevent him from being late from the battle (called Sirthgar, iirc).
However, if you can manage to restrain yourself from doing the epic (I must admit, I couldn’t on my first character), then you should try and complete the Beacon Hills first (and indeed, all of Taur Druadan), as there are a couple of additional quest chains (one from the errand rider Bregdal, the other from a certain group of Riders found in Ost Rimmon, near the Quarry, that we might have met before…) which run throughout, and concurrently, with the main epic quest throughout the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
