A very happy Yule, fabulous Festivus, and cheery Christmas to all who celebrate! This week’s listing runs from Christmas Day through to New Year’s Eve, so some regular events will not be taking place. This week’s featured events:
Hobbits have been gathering together in Bywater every Friday since May of 2008 for Green Dragon Friday. The event starts at 3pm EST/8pm UK time on the Laurelin server and goes on for however long folks would like to stick around, which is generally two hours. All chat is in character, though the focus is on songs and poems rather than long conversations. This Friday may be a bit quieter than usual due to the holiday, but the party will go on! Come to Green Dragon Inn for Mulled Cider, a 3 course menu, news, and Yule stories, poems, songs, and riddles.
Gwinlynn became well-known on Firefoot for her special cosmetic contests, and to Crickhollow’s delight she brought the event with her when she transferred. The theme will be Yule for this month’s contest, starting at 3pm on December 27th. Dulcet Tones will be back as musical performers. The contest should be taking place in Frostbluff, so attendees may need to contact someone in order to change layers.
All events are listed in Eastern Standard Time (-5 GMT)/server time, but an additional time zone is listed for EU server events. You may add events or post corrections in the comments section, but the fastest and best way to get it on this page is to submit a form. A look back:
Looking at The Starry Mantle’s latest outfit made me long to see more. The Yule festival category is filled with outfits to inspire (and to steal, not that your humble hobbit reporter would ever do anything like that…cough, cough). The archives go all the way back to 2011–good luck with not falling down that rabbit hole, because time does fly by when you’re looking at the lovely cosmetics.
