Hot off my arrangement converter is this lovely song by Coldplay. From their second album A Rush of Blood to the Head. Released August 2002 it reached No2 in the UK’s singles chart.
In my arrangement I have used clarinets on the melody on both lower and higher octaves. I also use both harp and misty mountains harp to help separate the string sounds. I bring in the bagpipes in the lower range on the last part of the melody with a tiny touch of +ppp+ pibgorn. The horn plays the famous riff and the flutes bring up some sustained strings. Percussion is a very simple drum on bass, tom and short rattle and a cowbell just supports that strong beat.
