Hullo, everyone! I’m Rosalie Rumble of Crickhollow, and I’m happy to tell you that I’ll be taking over as community events reporter. This post will now be going up every Friday morning, and I’ll try to make sure everything is up to date. Plenty of mistakes and typos will be made, but I’ll try my best to get it corrected in a timely manner. You may add events or post corrections in the comments section, but the fastest and best way to get it on this page is to submit a form.
Every week I’ll be highlighting one or two (or three!) big events, looking back on one from the previous week, and previewing something on the way. I’m always open to feedback and suggestions, both here and through the submissions form, so let me know if there’s something we should feature.
*All events are listed in Eastern Standard Time (-5 GMT)/server time, but an additional time zone is listed for EU server events.
Highlight events:
The Landroval Veterans council is hosting a “Welcome to Landroval” event on Saturday, November 14, starting at 6pm EST/server time in the Bowing neighborhood of the Bree-land homesteads. There will be neighborhood tours, kin recruiting, music from at least 3 different bands, door prizes, Market Day, and more.
The Grand Order of the Lost Mathom has invited the community to celebrate their 8th anniversary together on Saturday, November 14th at 2:30pm ST/7:30pm UK time. Among the things to look forward to are: music performances, including The Songburrow Strollers and The Brandy Badgers, competitions and games, fireworks, a grand meal, and Brandy! The event will be held IC within a RP atmosphere. Weapons and armour should not be worn within the bounds of Songburrow; please dress for a social gathering or in traveling garb.
The Party in the Park comes to Crickhollow’s Bree Park this Saturday, November 14th, from 3pm-6pm EST/server time. The party features longtime server favourites the Firebrands and two bands that will be playing their first major concerts on this server, Little Wanderers and Weatherstock 2015 winners The Remediators. To find out more, take a look at the Crickhollow Music interview with the event organiser, Scropolo, who said, “I wanted to involve three bands with connections to different servers so the word would spread and encourage more people to cross servers and enjoy the music each individual server has to offer. There are some really amazing bands out there with some unbelievable talents and if I can put on a small show for people to come and enjoy together then I will have the biggest smile on my face.”

A couple of weeks ago, Byrcha of the Lonely Mountain Band announced the news we were all longing to hear–Winterstock will return for its third edition January 15th-18th! Weatherstock’s frozen cousin doesn’t feature a competition, but rather 4 days of music from bands across multiple servers. There will be an announcement on the official forums and on the LOTRO Players events report when band applications open up.
A look back:
This week’s edition of the Community Event calendar is dedicated to the memory of Alasse. This shining member of the LOTRO community and true lore master sailed into the west last month. She made her presence known through many servers, betas, and forums, but her main home was on Landroval. Her kinmates and friends gathered together for a touching celebration of her life last Saturday. Additional photos of the memorial are available on Flikr.
