Oh, thanks for another episode! Merryrose is my 3rd character going through Angmar. Didn’t like the thought of going through it again but it has been a blast playing there with a hobbit mini. Maybe after this review I’ll actually like the region.
Well, nowadays it needs revamp. all those numerous fs quests are hard to do cause few people quest there, Maybe will be easier when transfers will end, but I doubt.
It’s last mostly untouched (except thing which affect whole world like dread after defeat removal) quest pack in game, so leave it be. There are plenty options for solo players and/or easy leveling. Thankfully we still have one actually challenging on level or requiring sometimes a group quest pack, please do not revamp it Turbine π
As far as the lore of Angmar is concerned, and correct me if I’m wrong, but the old kingdom of Angmar was much larger than the in game region. The part that we play in was not reinhabited as far as we know in the books. The part of the kingdom that was inhabited by the ancestors of the Rohirrim was on the East of the misty mountains. That’s why they were actually physically able to help the Gondorians in that battle in the Great River region. Sorry for rambling on but I had to say something. This information can be found in the appendices, specifically in the part about Rohan I believe. This all being said, I love your podcast.

I love your show but there was one point that was brought up during this show that I felt the need to address. I was re-reading the appendices and, correct me if I’m wrong, but the kingdom go Angmar and the specific region of Angmar are two different sizes. The region, which is the part that we play in, was never reinhabited as far as we know from the books. The part that the ancestors of the Rohirrim inhabited was the part of the kingdom of Angmar that was on the Eastern side of the Misty Mountains. That is how they were able to so timely intervene on Gondor’s behalf in the battle fought in the Great River region of the game. They didn’t have to make a long and arduous mountain crossing in the process. Sorry for rambling. Again LOVE YOUR SHOW!
