New Player Question
Are the differences between weapons just aesthetic, or are there preferred weapon choices by class (or is it not at all about the looks, just the stats)?
Week In LOTRO
Andang
- Went through Eastern Gondor
- Dwarf filming is hilarious
- Baruk Khazâd choir
Karvett
- Moria Epics, Moria Epics, Moria Epics – three characters through various parts of the Moria Epic
- Completed the Supreme Crafting Tier on all professions
- Various assorted crafting stuffs and sorting of crafting stuffs.
Maven
- Rolled my first actual Maven alt on Crickhollow (actually Mayven)
- Ran the Isengard dungeons with Teri and Andang, and Andang would not let me kill the troll till all four corners came down. It was worth it
- Mythgard Adventures good news and bad news
- My Arkenstone barechested dwarf got completely drunk with his brother
- Glordriel has full rep with Inn League and she scored a sinister keg and a Moria keg for the kin house (we all tried it out after Tuesday’s skirmish)
- Tried the Vile Maw with Teri’s hobbit mini and a bunch of Mythgard kinnies. Good times.
Pineleaf
- Beorning with Teri on Arkenstone. We are working on Book 5.
- Mythgard Skirmish was Survival: Barrow Downs. We lasted nearly 20 minutes (which isn’t much considering that we were running at 70 with several level 100 players).
- Gladden Beorning completed the Moria skirmishes. Just completed the fighting parts of Book 6 and am ready to look into a mirror.
Arathaert
- L.UN.C.H. run – Maiar no-show, Firefoot toasted :/
- Lots of Moors on my Guardian – hit r6 early last week, almost to r7 now
- Leveling the mini! Up to 47 and getting the LI.
- Doing the Osgiliath instances …. or trying to, at least
Teriadwyn
- Teriadwyn on Landroval has been running the DA dailies and sending her loot to Maven.
- Had new LIs crafted for Teriadwyn by @Galiodoc that I will probably imbue when they’ve been leveled up.
- Saryssa (my burg) achieved kindred with the Ale Association, wearing the Creep title with pride! Also acquired the giant shrew pet, which is named BiggerThanZig.
- Did some solo questing on Saryssa, as well, and she is now the highest-leveled character in the group, halfway to 58!
- Finished Book 4 last week on Arkenstone along with Pineleaf, made fun of Legolas in that final instance (champion and beorning are not stealth classes).

Featured Comments
Berenthalion left a comment on last week’s show:
“Instances ideas: Gothmog raid / 6man. Basically set in morgul vale, pre or post black gate shenanigans depending on how turbine wants to do that story. Post would be ideal as no concerns bringing cirith ungol to saurons attention. We would have golodir wit us or he runs in unawares at end boss fight 😀
Others could include Jajax back in harad, liberating his people from sauron lovers. Maybe we could have more war of the ring elsewhere based ones, Northern Mirkwood defensive skirmish or instance from invading easterlings etc. But better quality than Erebor cluster based ones.”
