Thanks for listening!
Regarding the landscape, the view of Minas Tirith, and Osgiliath itself, are the highlights, but I think you’re underselling Lossarnach (particularly Imloth Melui, and Harlond), and Ithilien (Bar Hurin, and just the general landscape) – although that might be because the other two things that you cited are firm fan favourites.
With Lossarnach and Ithilien in particular, much of the epic feel to the landscape comes from the new music for the region – did you have that on while running around the new region?
Awesome Show…:)
Lilikate is back, inspiring:
TURBINE think music is CISUM
Backs to the audience…
Audience to the back or is that back-to-front
Dizzy and spun around not in stereo but positional sound!
Inconsistent and weird…
No more snap, crackle and pop!
Horn low, good; horn high, bad!
Broken Bagpipes, screaming cat needs putting down – Oh that’s normal!
Cowbells are wonderful,
But the bells are tolling…
Pity… no final tubular bell!
Workarounds… hoop jumping…
Scale of disaster, Weatherstock in peril!
Mute players screaming out!
Deaf turbine silent…
Fix it or give it back now…
Should turbine have their backs placed against the wall?
Let the music play, let the players play the LOTRO music…
Loud and proud, oh …and in tune.
Tune in or tune out!
Hopefully they will turn it around…
The future could be quiet…
Ever so quiet…
…Sh… Lilikate…sh!
I so hope U16 is better than it looks so far…
PS: Where did the free hobbit mithril go?
Great show. Thanks again for the info And laughs. I was trying not to watch the first look videos. However, I had to watch and see you break Teriadwyn.
On the music: Do you think the issues are a result of lack of beta testers for the music System?
On LI, imbuing: Could this be a first step to repalcing the existing LI system? If it works at 100 then move to do the same at 50… keep it forever if you want.
Just to address the issue of Music System Beta: There were many Musical testers on the Beta. Evidence for this can be found on the Bullroarer forums. I don’t have the Bullroarer client but my good pals were sending me video snippits of the sounds. Many of these testers have been pointing out where the improvements are needed. There were also calls to further delay the new music system until these issues could be addressed. However I feel and this is just my opinion, that they pushed the music system to live when it wasn’t ready, to get to work on U16 Beta. Which is fair enough, if now they fix the problems and address quality issues.
A tight Osgiliath map won’t be good for the creeps once it goes to monster play. It is very difficult to deal with all the freep aoe, and it becomes unmanagible in tight spaces.
There are wide open places in the city as well. Also we don’t know if and how they would re-balance PvMP so I think it is a little too early to tell but that is a really good point.
