Just in time for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, Gamestop have reduced the LOTRO Mithril Edition to $US4.95, which is an amazing 75% off the regular price of $20!
The Mithril Edition includes:
- Steed of the Horse-lord’s Mount – exclusive to this edition
- Path of the Fellowship quest pack, which includes:
- Trollshaws – recently revamped in Update 13
- Eregion
- Moria – quests only, no raids, premium classes, character slots etc
- Lothlórien
- 2,000 Turbine Points
The four quest packs are worth 3,480 TP, and assuming the steed is worth 1,995 TP (what Turbine charges for other store horses), the Mithril Edition, including the 2,000 TP, is worth a total of 7,475 TP.
That’s $75 worth of content for less than $5!
In my opinion, this is one of the best LOTRO sales out there.
The Mithril Edition can be brought here. It isn’t clear when the sale ends, but I assume it’ll run until Monday.
The only downside is that Gamestop only sells to players in the US. If you’re outside the US, you might be able to convince a kinmate to buy it for you and send you the code.
This is the edition that I purchased quite a while ago and it does include Filikul and The Vile Maw Raids.
I bought a box copy several years ago. Does anyone know if I can buy this and apply to my account just for the Turbine Points?
I was wondering the same thing. After I purchased this version I noticed that the Lotro store still has the Mines of Moria expansion available so it is a possibility that you could apply this one since it is considered a quest pack and not an expansion.
You have to download it as a separate copy of LOTRO? Or can you get a code to add it into your account at Turbine/LOTRO?
As far as I recall it’s only 1 code for this per account..
