Making Shadow of Mordor – Behind the Scenes

With only a week until the release of Shadow of Mordor, the game’s official YouTube channel has started to release a new series going behind the scenes of the game. Usually with other games, these only cover the lighter moments of game development and don’t really show how hard game design for a modern AAA title.

Since that is usually how these behind the scenes series go, I am usually not very interested in them but the “Making Of” series for Shadow of Mordor is doing something very different.  While the first episode is close to promotion, the later episodes actually show the events more like a documentary from a third party instead of a promotional video.  This is a breath of fresh air in gaming behind the scenes series and causes it to be really interesting whether you are interested in Shadow of Mordor or not.
