Dress to Impress – The Summer Dress

Welcome to the third in this series of Dress to Impress. A series taking a closer look at LOTRO frocks!

This week I have had a little help from my friends, and an outfit from each of my daughters.

Today we have chosen the Summer Dress. It is available now at the Summer Festival, everyone can barter for this dress this week.

The Summer Dress is available with three different sleeve lengths. For 10 Summer Festival Tokens you can choose yours at the Festival Rewards Vendor. I found mine at the Hobbit Race event.

Here are the three dresses in their default colour.

Here it is possible to view the portions of the dress which change colour when a dye is applied.  We can see the very fetching yellow bow ribbon tied at the back. This ribbon does not change colour when the dress is dyed.

Onto Our Outfits:

Emswise (Alesel) took inspiration from the coat of her pet Kitty. Her she dyes her Long-sleeved dress sienna.

Molee chose the colours from The Shire to dye her Long-sleeved Summer Dress. She looks pretty here playing her Harp.

Here is Bavelbella exploring the lands of Rohan, a long way from The Shire. She is wearing the Sleeveless Summer Dress dyed Umber.

Lhinnthel looks very beautiful in this Sleeveless-Summer Dress. Dyed Rivendell Green, as it’s Lhinn’s summer dress and perfect for flower picking! Head accessory is Ceremonial Hat of Written Word and she is holding a pretty Foxglove flower. Coldbane Cape is on Lhinn’s back for those chilly evening breezes.

I could not resist the urge to take Lizzyrose on vacation to Dol Amroth. The accessories in this shot are of my choosing. Here we have the Sleeveless Summer Dress in Rose with the Simbelmyne Hat dyed rose. She has an Iris and Foxglove in her hands.

On her back is the Elegant Backpack dyed…rose 🙂 It is full of snacks and pies. Lizzy hated my choice, can you believe it!

Lizzy Chose:

The Flower Circlet on her head, the dress is the same although the colour looks slightly more violet in this screen shot.

We can see Lizzy chose the Simbelmyne Cloak also dyed Rose to finish off this outfit. Here she is enjoying the music and showing the tall folk how to Hobbit Dance.

 For me it was difficult to choose a colour as this dress looked lovely in so many different dyes. I opted for the Short-sleeved Summer Dress in Rivendell Green and in my hand is a Wood-Lily. I am enjoying the festivities with fellow Hobbits at the Party Tree.

Here Barrelrider (and Barrel) look stunning in the moonlight. Barrelrider is wearing her Summer dress with long-sleeves in Steel Blue. Just lovely!
