Today Peter Jackson shared the first poster for the third hobbit film on his Facebook page.
This poster was released after several weeks of teases for “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” trailer that is expected to be released during Comic-Con, which starts tomorrow and runs through July 27th.

What a gawdawful poster! So Mister Jackson desperately wants to cater to the Godzilla/Transformers-crowd? Well, judging by other comments, this might actually work. But it’s still a sad day for Tolkiens once beloved childrens book.
I was so disappointed by the first hobbit i haven’t even watched the second one yet :/
If you didn’t like the first then stay far far away from the second.
I understand the reactions to the first and second Hobbit movies. But the second is worth seeing for the representation of Smaug alone.
True but he becomes completely devalued as a villain because of his inability to do damage to any character for 20 minutes of screen time. I mean come on. Totally ruined Smaug. Sure Bilbo’s interaction was amazing (another riddles in the dark level of awesome) but it was completely undone by the later fight.
