A little over a week ago, the Minecraft Middle Earth YouTube channel released an amazing trailer for Gondor filled with swooping shots of the landscapes, cities and Minas Tirith. If LOTRO’s Minas Tirith looks even half as good, I think I might just have to stay in Minas Tirith forever.

I watched this with the audio muted the first time, and wasn’t terribly impressed. The second time I watched it here at home with the speakers cranked, and got a completely different impression.
It was surprising to me how much the sound design affected my perception of this.
