After posting my View of Dol Amroth video, it was suggested that I make a swan-knight outfit. I had every intention of doing so for this week’s outfit too, but I just could not get it the way I wanted. It’s hard to find good looking plate-type armour in this game, and on top of that it’s hard to find good-looking plate type armour that doesn’t have wildly varying undertones. For example I found a nice set of leggings that would work but they had a warm green undertone that clashed horrifically with the silvery blue undertones chest piece I wanted to use. So I gave up on that idea.
Instead I decided to try my hand at making a more “everyday” type of Gondorian outfit. I drew inspiration from the few townsfolk that have been put into the Gondorian cities so far on Bullroarer. They dress primarily in whites, greys and a more muted steel-blue color. Am I abusing Steel Blue dye at this point? If I am, I don’t care. I love that color way too much.
Let me know what you think of this outfit!

Awesome choice. Yeah, I wouldn’t think you would fond any swan embroidered outfits yet. They have to be coming with this update I’m sure.
Plus, I’m sure these were just place holders but did you notice the soldiers and guardsmen of Gondor had Rohan outfits? I was confused when coming out of The Paths of the Dead.
Lastly, I hope it was me who inspired you to take on this outfit 🙂
There are some swan-ish outfits. For example the Minstrel BG armour you can get from the Classic skirmish vendor. There were definitely a lot of place-holder NPCs in Beta build 1, but a lot of them have been fixed in build 2 (though the Rohirrim guards are still around).
And yes, it was you that inspired me! Thank you for the idea (even if I wasn’t able to really do the swan-knight thing).
