Earlier today, Turbine posted the first LOTRO community update of the year, clocking in at just over a minute of action and information. Actually, just information. I’ll admit it, I’ve been somewhat critical of the past few community updates for their lack of pertinent information, but seeing as how Turbine is finally giving us more information in conjunction with their newly conceived live streams, the importance of the community updates has lessened somewhat. Even so, there are a few snippets worth noting:
- In the “Take the Hobbits to Isengard” challenge that Sapience is live-streaming, Gilrain was able to accomplish the task in 1:22:55, and no hobbits were harmed during filming.
- For the above challenge, remaining servers and times will be posted later this week.
- Turbine as created a new twitch.tv channel specifically for LOTRO: http://twitch.tv/lotrostream. Remaining “Take the Hobbits to Isengard” events will stream on the new channel instead of Sapience’s twitch channel.
- Bullroarer beta server is going live (soon?) with update 12.2.
- Macro and quickslot save issues have been addressed in the latest update.
