it’s time to chase those snow-beasts, throw those snow balls and enjoy the play in the theater..
The festival is now active on all servers..
I took a quick look around and it seems as if nothing has changed from last year at all..
There is the daily gift and it’s gated with tiers again for your rewards like it was last year… it looks as if you have completed the deed last year you will have access to all tier rewards. I’ve only tested this one 1 char, but I am get all rewards out of the gate..
The festival will end Jan 14th.
When I logged in this morning, I got the new title: “the Bard” for previously completed Yule Festival deeds. And 5TP to boot! 🙂
Some changes-
There is a new Steed the Yule Tide Steed. There is a Yule Tide Caprison for warsteeds.
All the trick items have had their cooldown reduced to 30 seconds to make it easier to complete the deeds.
The two Easy/Hard Snowball Fight quests are now repeatable every time the announcer says the event is going to start but you can only get the 3 Token reward Once a Day from a new Daily Quest.
Oh dear looks like a bit grindy!
Oh 30 TP up for grabs…
Great guide from CStM as always: http://cstm.mymiddleearth.com/2013/12/lotro-yule-festival-guide-2013/
Any advice on easiest way to grind out 60 tokens for maps?
A good way to grind out tokens is to complete all of the stations in the eating contest, you will get a reward for each station for a total of 13 tokens. It’s repeatable (after cooldown), unlike the others which are only once a day. I recommend shift-clicking the food to queue it up and save time.

Erm…let em eat cake is it!
Ok I can get behind that 🙂
Thanks Sully 🙂
Scratch that, it’s not repeatable anymore (unless you spend Mithril coins). My bad.
er thx Sullo 🙂 Typing with cake in mouth….obscures the eyes…(BIG CAKE)
