Beneath Your Feet 01: Hobbiton

It’s finally here! It seems like a long summer since I first got the idea for Beneath Your Feet and this, the first official episode. I hope you enjoy!

Our screenshot winner for this episode is Stephenfry of Imladris server! His winning screenshot is down past the jump.

Thanks to Stephenfry for his submission.

Initially I thought that perhaps Hobbiton was too small a space to do a show on but, as you might suspect, so much as a chip opened up a good deal of information to include. It’s fun to know that with almost every bit of real estate in Middle-earth there is at least a ladle-full of history, if not a flood.

So enjoy the first episode and join me next time for an exploration of Ered Luin, the Blue Mountains. Send in your screenshots to shipwreck@lotrobeneathyourfeet.com!

    1. I shall look forward to listening to this entire series. How ever did I miss it the first time around.

  1. What a beautiful podcast, I am so glad that I found you. Congratulations to your great stories, the lore explanations and the overall high quality of the show. I am looking forward for all your next episodes here 🙂

I hope this is ok – here are one and a half shameless self-plugs. The first one is about something I made and the second one about a play that was performed in the game quite a while ago which told the story about how the Shire was founded. It was so very cute, informative and funny that I put it up on youtube for everyone to enjoy it (I was sitting in the audience and recorded it).

    1. Playing a hobbit lass (although being a male player actually) I wrote the lyrics for a song in which Hobbiton is mentioned. You can listen to that here: soundcloud.com/the-strongfoots/01-the-stream-of-the-water

    2. Play: The Tale of Marco and Blanco and the Founding of the Shire: the-strongfoots.net/events/the-tale-of-marco-and-blanco-and-the-founding-of-the-shire/
