Maven, what are some things you wish you knew about the game when you first started? Also, what are some of your favorite parts of the game?
Week In LOTRO
Sanswinda
- Started Epic Vol. 3 with Cyndars and realized she doesn’t know who Amarthiel or Mordirith are yet… Oops!
- Worked on the new Black Book on my High Elf hunter with Teri and Pineleaf, until we were sent to Mirkwood and I realized she hadn’t done the Mirkwood landing instance yet. After switching to Sans to finish our questing, I switched back and got her into Mirkwood as well as getting her the rep ports for Lothlorien and Mirkwood, so she’s a more proper hunter now.
- Braved level 53 mobs at level 16 because my captain on Arkenstone wasn’t a high enough level to pick up the quests from the camp on the way to see Candaith yet. After turning in some bounties and helping Candaith, we re-took Weathertop and attained level 20 without much trouble.
Maven
- Managed to squeeze in two nights of questing in the new area
- Ran two low level friends (88 and 92) through the new area and made a discovery
- Took a very wet trip from Thranduil’s hall to the lair of the raft elves and made another discovery
Teriadwyn
- Spent more time on Landroval!Teriadwyn this week than I have in a while, left her in Thranduil’s Hall, which still has no snacks and now an abundance of horses.
- Took advantage of the sale on character slots to fill up my pages and make a new high elf hunter on Landroval, who is up to level 17.
- Elf warden Meledhriel continued Volume 3 and is now properly in Rohan after finishing the session plays for the Breaking of the Fellowship.
Pineleaf
- On Crickhollow, my Sunday group ran some small fellowship skirmishes. The last was Icy Crevasse. During the first attempt at the boss fight, the mammoth cheated by pushing me through the entrance just before he died.
- My Crickhollow warden also started the new Northern Mirkwood content for YouTube.
- On Arkenstone, my high-elf Lore-master (level 23) headed to Bree after the field trip to do the skirmish tutorial and search for some scholar mats. While I was doing this, I ran into double elite wargs in the Chetwood. I decided it was a public service to the low-level players to rid the forest of them.
