Weatherstock & Community Events: July 21st-27th

Weatherstock IX:

The time has finally come for the biggest event in LOTRO.  Weatherstock is a spectacle like no other, with hundreds of people gathered together on the summit of Weathertop.  Landroval’s the Lonely Mountain Band plays host to this enormous event and 18 performers will be there to entertain the crowd, as well as a super band formed from the LMB’s three resident bands.  There are many ways to help you and the rest of the crowd enjoy the show with a minimum of lag.  This includes leaving cloaks, hats, weapons, and pets at home, not setting off any fireworks or mass emotes, and calling for a ride to the top if you need one.  The official Weatherstock website has even more advice for concert-goers.

The official LOTRO Twitch stream will cover the whole event live from start to finish.  This means that some of the regular programming will not take place that day.  The same goes for concerts, many of which will be canceled for this most special occasion on the LOTRO calendar.  Whether you’re checking in on the stream or going to the summit, it’s worth your time to take a look because there’s nothing like Weatherstock.

This listing of featured events is only published on Fridays, but our Google calendar is kept up to date throughout the week and includes details on many more activities.  We always aim to have the most complete events calendar in the game and accept events of all types on all servers.  Take a look at this week’s agenda for upcoming events around LOTRO and copy some or all events to your personal calendar.  You may add events or post corrections in the comments section, but the fastest and best way to get it on this page and on the calendar is to submit a form.

Coming soon:

The Department of Holbyt Security will celebrate their 3rd anniversary next Saturday the way they began it: with a “Take the Hobbit to Isengard” run.  The Department of Harmony and Song kicks off the event with a concert at Prancing Pony Rock starting at noon on Landroval.  The run itself starts there at 1pm and the hobbit will be none other than former Community Manager Rick Heaton, previously known as Sapience.

Songburrow Hall is open to all neighbours and good hobbit friends for a relaxing cup of tea next Sunday.  Come to 4 Brookbank Street in the Songburrow section of the Shire Homesteads on Laurelin at 7:30pm EDT/2:30pm BST for food and drink in the garden.  There will be an “Antiques Roadshow” style sharing of Mathoms at this hobbit-preferred role-play event.

Uncle Rooster will lead a band of chickens on the perilous journey to the Black Gate on Landroval next Sunday at 5pm EDT.  Chickens and escorts should gather at Sandson’s Farm for an expedition expected to take around 4 1/2 hours, or perhaps longer if there is an unexpected chicken fry.
