This week’s featured events:
Notenzauber will play their annual end of year concert on Landroval this Saturday at 2pm EST on the stone in front of the Prancing Pony in Bree.
Operation Hardi Clause is an annual community event that has been hosted by Roxxi Manor of Arkenstone (formerly Brandywine) ever since the first LOTRO Yule. They will give out crafted crit weapons, class items and food stuffs to lower level players several nights a week during the Yule season. The official kick off is December 12 at 7:00 pm EST. Each night, the Roxxi volunteer elves will start in Archet, then move to Combe, Thorin’s Hall, and Celondim. The elves will travel to each stop with a large band playing Christmas music, fireworks, and dancing while they give out the items the kin members have collected. Future dates are December 14th, 21st, 28th, and January 4th at 8pm, and December 18th, January 1st, and January 8th at 4pm.

Winterfest kicks off on Crickhollow next Friday with a performance from Breakfast Club at 8pm EST. This is followed by an open Bread & Jam session–Crickhollow’s most popular weekly event. All bands, solo musicians, and storytellers are welcome to share a song or tale in a round robin format. There will be 19 more bands from around the globe over the next two days. It all takes place at the frozen lake northeast of Frerin’s Court at Thorin’s Gate in Ered Luin.
Looking back:
19 chickens left Sandson’s Farm during the Evernight Chicken Race, and 5 of them made it to North Ithilien thanks in large part to the brave defenders who accompanied them every step of the way. Congratulations to Nimbleshot, Baaron and Bisby for making it to the end within 2 and a half hours, and to Aldimara who kept pressing on to make it in 3 and a half hours. Jillymala posted several shots on the forums thread (one is shared below) and Rucagorn shared a gallery of 20 screenshots.
Festival time:
The Yule Festival returns this Thursday, December 15th, at 10am EST/server time. Crazypants posted screenshots of several new cosmetic items on Twitter, including the Robe of Winter’s Light. Follow her on Twitter for other preview screenshots and so much more.
