This week’s featured event:
The most anticipated day on the LOTRO social calendar is finally here: Weatherstock comes to Landroval on Saturday, July 23rd. It’s a truly massive event unlike any other, and something that all players must experience at least once. If you don’t have a character on Landroval, spend some time making one in advance.
The sheer number of people in attendance can bring some computers to their knees, so please review the advice for concert-goers post put together by the event staff. To make the whole experience smoother for everyone, please leave cloaks, hats, weapons, pets, forced emotes, and fireworks at home. To reduce lag, turn graphics down to very low (this process is outlined in the post).
It all gets underway at the Forsaken Inn at 11:30am EDT/server time. A concert from LMB members will be followed by the mounted procession to Weatherstock at 1:05pm. The competition starts at 2pm with 10 of the best bands in the game: The Remediators, Les Chantefables, Notenzauber, The Rolling Kegs, Department of Harmony and Song, Polnolunie, The Breakfast Club, The Aleford Band, Die Bunten Vögel, and The White Flames. The event will be livestreamed on the official LOTROstream and simulcast on Eldalleth’s channel. Follow Weatherstock on Twitter for all the latest information.
The biggest event of the year means that several weekly concerts and other events will be cancelled on Saturday. Be aware that some of the events listed on this calendar may not be taking place.
All events are listed in Eastern Daylight Time (-4 GMT)/server time, but an additional time zone is listed for EU server events. You may add events or post corrections in the comments section, but the fastest and best way to get it on this page is to submit a form. The Department of Holbyt Security invite everyone to a “Take the Hobbit to Isengard” run on Landroval on July 30th in celebration of their 2nd Anniversary. Former CM Sapience will return as The Hobbit. Players of all levels are welcome, including chickens and horses. The Department of Harmony and Song will perform at the Prancing Pony rock at 12pm and the run will start at 1pm.
Laurelin features two interesting events next weekend: the Wedmath Catfish Hunt on July 30th and the Grand Summer Picnic on July 31st. Both will take place at 2:30pm EDT/7:30pm BST. Show up in Woodhall next Saturday with a fishing pole in hand. The fishers will try their look at the pool underneath the Woodhall Bridge, and the luckiest and unluckiest will be rewarded. Sunday’s Grand Summer Picnic includes music from the Songburrow Strollers, dancing, games, fireworks, and competitions. Lobelia’s Hill Pie Rolling Run is always a highlight. This is a hobbit-preferred event, but taller folk are still welcome.
Festival time:
The summer festival popped up on Wednesday with a number of new quests and rewards. This year’s fest will run through August 6th. Check out the LOTRO Wiki for more information.
