This week’s featured events:
Landroval’s Mythgard will be taking a charity chicken run to Gondor on Saturday, starting at 10am EST from Sandson’s Farm. Wigend, aka The Tolkien Professor, will assume chicken form to make the journey to Minas Tirith, and all players who’d like to join the protection posse are welcome (an organising meeting will take place on Friday at 9:30pm). Donations will be directed to charity:water, a nonprofit on a mission to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet. Two commemorative t-shirts will also be available (here and here). The whole event will be streamed on Twitch at http://twitch.tv/mythgardian.
No Whole Bard started out on Elendimir and moved out to Crickhollow in September. Since then they’ve been playing monthly concerts on the last Sunday of the month on Crickhollow and the first Sunday of the month on Landroval. This Sunday they’ll be playing a very special show: the third Australia and New Zealand Annual Celebration! Join them for some grand Aussie and Kiwi tunes starting at 6am EST/10pm AEDT either this Sunday on Crickhollow or next Sunday on Landroval at the Bree-town stage.
All events are listed in Eastern Standard Time (-5 GMT)/server time, but an additional time zone is listed for EU server events. Looking back:
A little over a year ago Arathaert took on ThatGingerCanadian in a grand battle of chicken skills. The two raced each other in Crosser of Roads attempts, Arathaert on Gladden and ThatGingerCanadian on Firefoot, and streamed their progress on Twitch. At the end of the day, the chicken champion of Firefoot reigned victorious by a margin of nine and a half minutes after our own Arathaert was indirectly struck down by Tom Bombadil. May their adventure inspire those of you yet to take on the new Minas Tirith challenge!
