  1. YES: I don’t even play PvMP but keeping all factions happy in LOTRO is a great idea…and maybe one day I will be joining in the fight as well 🙂

There should be a new map nearly a decade playing the same map shows we like pvmp.

The same as tsuhelm… I also don’t do pv(m)p. Only, I voted NO, because the question is: ‘Do YOU Want A New PvMP Map?’ Well, I don’t, but if this was a vote whether there could be a new one, I would vote yes. For all the others that love it there.

  4. No, I want to spend the few resources we can get where they are needed most. PVMP is dead and I have no problem if it stays that way so give us content instead. Just my $0.02. Heck I’d rather they fix bugs instead of working on PVMP maps. There is a long list of things I’d see done first.

  5. A new PvMP map will not fix barely any the problems we currently have with it, just spend sometime on the PvMP parts of the forums and it’s clear to see what is wrong, and that a new map will not change any of it at all (except for maybe a new term for Grams camps haha).

  6. ONLY if Turbine lets me purchase permanent access to the moors. I’m not VIP because I prefer to purchase the content rather than rent it, so why would I ever consider renting time in the moors with the current ridiculous system? If they don’t allow me to purchase access, I don’t care if they completely remove PvMP from the game, since they’re already telling me I can’t play there.

I think if they made PvMP have two modes, competitive and non-competitive it could create a compromise.

Anyone would be allowed to play non-competitive for free.

Those that wanted to have a ranking system and get auto-entered into tournaments with prizes (ie Lifetimes, years of VIP, TP…) would need to pay individually for a season or, at a cheaper cost, pay a monthly fee and get into all the seasons.

This would make it much more like a sport and could drive a lot of publicity to LOTRO.

It would also bring greater focus on the 1v1 and the development of PvMP in general.

Since I just came up with this off the top of my head, there are likely issues with it but I think something like that could be interesting.

      • Again, that’s not a compromise I’d make. Not even close. They already gave us a compromise by allowing us to rent time in the moors, but it’s a compromise. As it is, PvMP might as well not exist at all as far as I’m concerned. The whole point of the free to play model is to allow us to purchase the content we would like, not to rent access to it (that’s what the subscription is for). Unless or until turbine makes the content available for purchase, it might as well not exist and any effort spent working on it is a complete and utter waste. Yes, I’m biased, but not by choice. I would play in the moors if Turbine would let me, but as long as they don’t, I really don’t care. Calling for another compromise is not a good idea. So, because I want to buy the content rather than rent it, I can’t participate in it competitively? It doesn’t even matter if I would want to or not, I wouldn’t even buy the access at that point, because I’d be telling turbine it’s okay to sell me a gimped version. Seriously, just sell me the damn moors already. I’ve said this for years now. If they don’t, I don’t want them wasting resources on developing anything for PvMP at all! Because I’m sure not paying $180 a year just for moors access. I’ve already bought all the other content.

Yeah I am on the same page pretty much at this point. It will be interesting to see if the new map makes any changes in their policy as well. Since they would in theory still have two maps, there might be a large number of changes.

I have come around to your point though that it would make more sense to simply charge the price of a normal zone for access to the Moors and same with the new map. They could make a lot of quick money charging everyone for the new map and not requiring a sub to enter.
