Big Names Involved In Shadow of Mordor

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has several of the gaming industries’ best actors, writers, composers and directors involved in creating the game.

According to IMDB, the cast includes:

Andy Serkis is the voice of Gollum.  He has voiced Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies.  He is also known for playing Caesar in the recent reboot of the Planet of the Apes series. 

Troy Baker is the voice of Talion.  He has voiced several major gaming characters including Booker from Bioshock Infinite, Deslin in Infamous: Second Son, The Joker in Arkham Origins and Joel in The Last of Us.

Alastair Duncan is the voice of Celebrimbor.  He has voiced several gaming characters including Councilor Sparatus in the Mass Effect series and Raidriar in the Infinity Blade series. 

Laura Bailey is the voice of Talion’s wife, Ioreth.  She is the voice of Fetch in Infamous: Second Son, Valla in Diablo III, Alice in Batman: Arkam Origins, Isa in Infinity Blade III, Rivera in Halo 4 and Lady Comstock in Bioshock Infinite. 

Nolan North is also in Shadow of Mordor as the voice of the Black Hand.  He is most known as the voice of Drake in the Uncharted series.  He has also voiced Desmond in the Assassin’s Creed series, Eredan in LotR: War in the North, several of the cores in Portal 2, an Elven Warrior in LotR: Aragorn’s Quest and Elven Warriors in LotR: Battle for Middle-earth II to name a few.

Christian Cantamessa is the writer and director for Shadow of Mordor.  He was one of the main writers in Red Dead Redemption.

Michael Forgey is the executive producer for Shadow of Mordor.  He was the executive producer of Guardians of Middle-earth and the producer on Gears of War 2.

Garry Schyman is the game’s composer.  He has composed the music for everything from the Bioshock series to the classic 1983 television show, The A-Team.

While a good team does not guarantee a good game, it is comforting to know that Shadow of Mordor is in the hands of good writers, directors, producers, composers and voice actors.

Yesterday a new video for Shadow of Mordor was released detailing how to play on your enemies’ fears. 

Last week it was announced that Celebrimbor is the wraith in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.  Shadow of Mordor is set to release September 30th.
