LOTRO Outfits: Noldo

I received a request to make an outfit based on the Noldor elves, Feanor and/or the Silmarils. At first when putting together the outfit on that theme I was trying to think of all the star-based cosmetics I could. Unfortunately most of the cosmetics with star motifs are squarely on the Man side of cosmetic styling because of their Dunedain ties. I wound up idly trying on every piece in my wardrobe (which is quite a feat in and of itself!), which wasn’t terribly fruitful. Since most of my characters are humans (or at least all my main, high level characters are), I keep very little elven styled cosmetics.

I think I must have switched out each of the different pieces dozens of times before finding the right pieces, except the leggings. The Beast-master Leggings are some of the best elven leggings in the game and I love the pale yellow-gold trim they have. The shoulders and chest piece were the hardest to pick and I wound up spending more Mithril Coins than I’d care to admit just so I could put together the perfect Noldor outfit.

Pretty much everything about this outfit has a purpose or reasoning behind it. The steel blue represents the sea that the Noldor elves have already had to cross twice and will have to cross once more to return to Valinor. The gold represents the craftsmanship that the Noldor are so well known for. There’s also lots of intricate, detailed line-work in the shoulders and chest piece that show their craftsmanship well. Throughout the outfit are tree and leaf motifs that recall the Two Trees of Valinor, specifically Laurelin because of the golden color throughout the outfit.

I think this is my best, most well-thought out outfit I’ve put together yet. I’d love to know what you think!

  1. You should choose outfits for Lalia’s market in Bree or the mannequins. You’ve always got awesome and thoughtful combinations.
