LOTRO Academy: 88 – Great Scott!

LOTRO Academy: 88 - Great Scott!
Branick, Pineleaf, and Draculetta ramble on about the class changes introduced with Helm’s Deep, the future of epic battles, the magic of 27, and the problem with memorable catch-phrases from ’80s cartoons. Thanks for listening.

  1. Enjoyed the show πŸ™‚ So you recommend the Mirkwood Expansion? Do you get the skirm mentioned with that or is it separate?

Have 2 chars at 60 waiting to get Isenguard …should I do Mirkwood first?

    • Do you own the Enedwaith pack? If so, you can do that area @ 60, and it can lead ya right into Dunland (Isengard expansion content).

    • Mirkwood does have several skirmishes included with the Epic though, so I’d at least do those. It’s basically a continuation of the Epic Story from Moria. If you do have Enedwaith though, that is the quicker route to Isengard, but personally I prefer Mirkwood as a zone. They cover the same level range though, so it’s not necessary to do both.

You don’t need the Mirkwood expansion to unlock the skirmishes – you only need to run through the Mirkwood epic (Volume 2 Book 9). There are several nice skirmishes in that set, so I recommend that you run them.

As for the Mirkwood zone itself, I generally run that rather than Enedwaith but that is simply because I find it easier to do the Mirkwood quests as I am running the epic.

Three Cubed is three syllables, not two πŸ˜‰

Ah, the RK level 15 class quest… kite or die! That’s what I did. πŸ˜€
