Fellowship Walk Poetry Competition

Come join the fun!

As some of you may have heard, LOTRO Players is organizing this year’s Fellowship Walk which is raising money for the international children’s charity, Child’s Play.  As part of this year’s Walk, we have put our heads together and come up with some fun competitions for you to enter and win prizes for. 🙂

For the poetry, you just need to write a poem that in some way involves walking and send it to us. While the poem may be in any structure of your choice, it will unlikely win if it confusticates the brain of this poor hobbit

Send your poem in an email to fellowshipcompetitions@gmail.com with Poetry Competition in the subject line. We recommend that you include the poem in the body of you email rather then attaching it in a separate file (if you do send it in an attachment, it should be in a common format to ensure that we can read it).

Competition dates: Open 11 September 2013 and Close 12 October 2013.  Winners will be announced 24 October 2013.

Prize: Steam Game – War of the Roses: Kingmaker. It is the 15th Century and two branches of the house Plantagenet contend for the throne of England. This is a team-based third-person action game.

  1. Oh I want to enter! Can I enter but just for fun. I know I can’t win cos I am a contributor to the site… but I love Poetry. I want to enter for fun!!!!!

    Have fun

  2. Walking while confusticating is tricky!
But try walking while confusticated and you’ll end on your butt!
Walking confusticaticantly will just confusticate other walkers!

  3. ‘confusticaticantly’ TO: ‘confusticatedly ‘
    I confusticated myself!

    Walking when confused is complicated!

Confusticate Definition: This word is the coalescing of the English words “confuse” and “complicate”.

  4. The Fellowship Walk, oh what fun!
    I see a hobbit eating a bun.
Oh look there, as I walk by
An angry bear, I now must fly.

What scenery there is to behold,
I am glad I am not blind to the sky of gold.
The sun sets with its radiate hues
The colours melding and become fused.

The Fellowship Walk is such fun.
Whether in a crowd or a party of one.
There are things to see everywhere,
And you might just win a prize, if you dare.
