Fashion About Town

Everywhere I go in LOTRO I spot players that make great use of the cosmetic system to customize their characters. They take a digital avatar and turn it into a dynamic character that blends into the world of Middle-earth. Here are some of the outfits I’ve seen randomly around Bree-town that I thought were well put together. Click on the images for a larger view.

Landela

I saw Landela Stoneman the Great Saboteur of Sunset Knights upon logging into the Bree-town bank and loved the soft combination of pastels as well as her use of flowers that she assembled with this outfit to produce a beautifully feminine outfit.

Faral

Faral, Leader of The Alliance combined a highly detailed chest piece and gloves with more practical pants and boots to make a great adventuring outfit.

Tomosi

I love the way Tomosi, Stalwart Protector, of Friends of the Shire has mixed red, black and brown together in this outfit. All the colors compliment each other so well.

Beadrin

Beadrin Stoutbeard, Shire Brewmaster, is using mostly Isengard preorder cosmetics here, but adds the Corsair’s Hat and Eyepatch and store bought keg back piece. In addition, his choice of a dark complexion and red braided beard make this whole ensemble stand out as a perfect Dwarven piratical look. A great example of how a couple of details can make any outfit stand out.

Tauregandeth

Guardsman Turegandeth, Sentinel of Thinglad, of Rochbin o Lindon made the lovely detailing on this robe really pop by dying it a dark red color. And her use of the mask like head piece gives her a mysterious aura in the midst of the ordinariness of Bree.

Kovac

Kovac Elevated of Strength and Honor looks like a true hero in this gear.

Aashaa

Aashaa, Song Warrior, surprised me by how well yellow dye looked with this robe and hat combination. Yellow dye is easily my least favorite and I’ve yet to find a good use for it, but somehow Aashaa put it to good use brightening up this respectable robe and creating a cheerful affect with that cheeky little hat.

All these players made excellent use of the all kinds of armor and cosmetic pieces this game has to offer. Above you’ll find store bought cosmetics, quests rewards, crafted armor, and festival rewards all mixed and matched by creative players. I’ll be out and about on the Landroval server looking for more such outstanding outfits to highlight here in a future installment.
