  1. You can do the snowball fight 2 times a day (without spending for a reset or using a ticket) you can do Hard mode and Easy mode back to back.. And it will count as 2 separate quests for your more the merrier deed..

  2. and as far as the giftboxes.. on the many chars I’ve done this with (over 3 servers)

    I am manily getting tickets/tokens/marks/seals…

I would live to get a symbol! 🙂

  3. Nice episode – it is indeed a shame that the festival is much less group-friendly this year when it comes to the snowball fight.

From my personal tries at the present box @ Frostbluff…I do not believe I have received the specific gift of “2 Festival Tokens” since I have equipped the Erebrandir’s Horseshoe. This is probably just coincidence, but I like to feel that I’ve had some control over it. Alas, no Symbols yet for me – a couple of the yule hats, one of those 100% XP consumables, and a Fate I tome are probably the best I’ve picked up so far (marks/medallions are nice, too).

Well, you guys have until next episode to take care of all those year-round goals you set in the previous beginning-of-the-year episode! Get to ’em if you have not already! 😀

If you have the time the quests can be done twice in one day.

  5. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I was indeed lucky enough to have my own private Branick concert at the new Bree stage. Yay! (Thankyou)
I am about 50-60 quests into the new Winter-Grind fest. There have been some weird goings on with varying cool-downs. I had a 6 hour cool down once. I have won lots of marks, medallions and tokens. As well as winning a hat, a cloak and best of all a Tome of Will 1.

I love the theater best of all and have yet to do the snowball quests and doubt if I will bother with it now. I am trying to get to 120 quests on two Lilikates so I imagine I will be totally fed up with this fest by Jan 1st.

I have discovered this podcast recently and wish to extend my thanks to all hosts past and present, I look forward to sharing my 2013 in-game experience with you all.

  6. Hey there 🙂

Thanx for the comments guys. It is good to know that there are still people out there who enjoy the Yule Fest.

I am not sure how much I will be on over the Christmas period, but will try and get on as often as I can. I have so many alts to grind this Yule Fest and I would like to get at least one to Tier 3. We will see how it goes.

Yes Zyngor, I also need to get four more levels done on Mysterixox before the end of the year to complete this year’s resolutions at the start of the year. Hopefully, life will slow down a bit and I will get it all done 😀

Merry Christmass to everyone and may your New Year prove to be a safe, happy and prosperous one.

    Have fun
    Myst.

I was happy and lucky enough to pull both a symbol (on a lvl 11 alt), and the hobby horse (on Landroval Tomeoric) – so it is possible… keep trying!

One thing of note: the symbol dropped is ‘bound to account’ – if you cannot craft something on your own, you’ll have to figure out a creative solution to get the item you need.

I want to thank you all for another great year of podcasts. You are a great group of folks and I wish you all the best in upcoming year!

How can you tell how many Festival Tickets you have?

  9. Farylir – If you own the Premium Wallet, look inside under the “Festivals and Events” section for “Festival Tickets”. They used to hand these out at least in the previous Anniversary event, so it’s possible to have accrued these before this festival. If you already had some, you are welcome to use them to reset a Frostbluff quest after completion. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for the quest cooldown, or pay like 100TP for a single Festival Ticket from the LOTRO store.

Just as a follow up to what happens in winterhome after the festival ends. I logged in on my captain on arkenstone that I had left there. the only npc’s there now are the stable master and the grims and trolls in the northwest corner.
