LOTRO Academy: 47 – Where Have All the Berry Bushes Gone?

LOTRO Academy
In this belated episode, Branick, Mysteri, and Krorain talk about the treasure hunty thing, the search for a good kinship, when dwarves with guns are awesome, and Turbine’s grammatical errors. Thanks for listening.

Myst – was it this rug you saw: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Item:Large_Purple_Rug

Once you have allied status with the Wardens of Annuminas, you can head over to Tinnudir (in Evendim), and talk to the reputation rewards vendor Galiana Squibb (she should be near Calenglad in the general area of the settlement). There should be a Large Purple Rug for sale for 56s.

The treasure hunt event is pretty fun, especially if you employ multiple alts to make the most of the two quests’ cooldowns. One thing to note is that, unless you have the “Standard” filter turned on to see your winnings inside the treasure chests, you might not even realize you had won one of the three available steeds.

  2. I’m listening to the episode right now, and I’m at the section on kinships.

I’d definitely like to see you all take on this topic. If you want to do a panel of kinleaders, that would be awesome.

I found myself inadvertently a leader in my kin-long story, but that was back in December, so I inherited a kinship with a wide range of ages and levels and a quite small active membership.

Then Gladden became the recommended server, and we got a huge influx of new members-it was a scramble to get the newbies taken care of, but two months on our kin chat is lively, our members group together regularly, and we have social events as well as instances.

I’m rambling, I know, but my kinnies are awesome, and I had a couple of bad kin experiences previously, so I appreciate that very much.

In short, please do a kinship episode. If there’s anything I can do to help, you can get me at rangerswest.guildlaunch.com

The reason you can’t put bound to account items (or bound items at all) in housing containers probably has to do with the fact that you can give any and everyone access to your house chests. Don’t know specifically how that would hinder putting bound items in there, but that’s my guess.

The problem with that Tapkoh, is that Shared Storage allows all bound items, even those bound to a specific character. Only characters who fit the bound criteria can remove the bound item from the Shared Storage vault, so I know the functionality exists. My guess is that housing storage was implemented before there was Shared storage and account-bound items, and the functionality just hasn’t been added yet. I say “yet” more out of hope for implementation than out of any real expectation. Afterall, Shared Storage is a pretty big up-sell.

Myst… Zyngor above is correct! This is from the Evendim rep vendor. Enjoy redecorating!

This week in How to Die With Myst we discuss the kegs in the Kin house! Yes Myst can get you killed if you drink from them with her! A few Wednesday Night LOTROs ago she invited me to join her in drinking from them. We both got ported to the same spot in Forochel. She mentioned she seen me but to put it nicely said I was a chicken and ran! In fact I did not run, it would seem that I was the first piece of tasty hobbit meat the beasts had seen in awhile and was the first to DIE!
